VPS Suggestions for SF?

Post by Soaker Dan »

Hey All,

Come June, the VPS that host SF will reach its EOL and I need to migrate SF to a new VPS. I am looking for VPS provider suggestions if anyone out there has them. We need to stick with a VPS as most web host have anti-nudity clauses in their terms and conditions. I am looking for a non-windows based VPS, running modern hardware and SSDs from a legit server center, and has terms and conditions available for review prior to purchase. Current specs for SF VPS in an nutshell: unmanaged, 3TB Bandwidth, 8GB RAM, 75GB SSD, 4 Cores, running cPanel/WHM + CentOS 7, ~$66 a month.

Hey Dan, I hope you find a good VPS. I know virtually nothing about them, but I saw on Reddit that a Development Specialist recommended DedicatedCore and DomainRace, with DedicatedCore being the preferred. I think it was mentioned they have non-Windows and SSD options. Also, I don't know if former SF Admin Bruce McClary would have some ideas.

I have no experience in this area, but I can ask around with some IT folks I know.
