I have no experience in this area, but I can ask around with some IT folks I know.

Re: What Happened To Banner Image Section ?
Kevin, I still see that section, and your post and working link are still there. Perhaps you need to refresh your screen or try logging out, then back in. Also, try with a different browser. If you can still log in and see other topics, you are not blocked.

Re: SoakersForum is turning 10...
There was an outage yesterday. I noticed that. I logged on the server as "Admin" for the first time and the indication was that CPU requests had exceeded the limit. The site was to be available at 00:10 today. I figured someone had done some mass backups or downloads. Hope it wasn't nefarious ...

Here's a blog for soaks in Black Canyon, below the Hoover Dam. Just learned about it from the blogger, John, on Monday, and ended up in a photo that afternoon:

Sad to see the site go, but totally understandable. While I have more time to maintain the board than Bruce, I don't have the skills. Thanks for a superb 10 years!
And I just had a great soak at Arizona Hot Springs yesterday. Does this mean I don't have to add a final trip report?

Re: Using the "QUOTE reply function...
This thread is meant for the masses, and since it's perishable info as time goes on, I've revised it over the past year, or replied to it as a reminder, mainly as newcomer notes. I don't have the desire or energy to PM all who might think it's applicable to them, personally, but if it encourages us ...

Just a periodic reminder. There's been an uptick in unnecessary quote repetition, lately.

Re: URL Copying And Pasting (Was "Search Is Over...." In NM)
I honestly don't know what's going on there, C&B. I've always had success in simply highlighting the URL in the browser box, right clicking on it and selecting 'copy,' then using the URL speed button at the top of the message text box, and pasting my copied URL between the brackets.

Re: near klamath
Shouldn't be much longer. The_wanderer does appear to do extensive searching and offers useful info in some posts, but lately has quickly gone from impolite to engaging in rudeness, personal attacks, and outright unacceptable netiquette. This type of behavior is very divisive and Admin will not ...

In addition to mixed case alphanumeric + symbols passwords that have nothing to do with common names, dates, etc., I often use illogical answers to security questions; if it asks for a city, my answer might be a number.

Thanks for the change, Bruce. The other red icons weren't easy to distinguish, and maybe even impossible for readers with certain color blindness conditions.

Re: Any way to have links open a new tab?
When I click on a link within a post, I'd rather not migrate away from SoakersForum. Any way to change this setting? I don't find such an option in my User Control Panel. I always just click the right mouse button and choose an option from the drop down menu: "Open Link in New Window" or "Open Link ...
