I seem to get enough pop up ads that my pop up blocker can't keep up, even get voice ads. Is it just me, or all of you having this problem?

I've never had even one, and I'm here frequently. But my popup blocker is always on.

There are no ads on this forum. Your pop-ups are coming from somewhere else.

I know that Windows Messenger used to be the source of a lot of these problems. I disabled it years ago.

Never when I'm on this site.

Never at home as my pop up blocker really works..

Rarely at work, but I try to avoid those sites...

I've mentioned this a number of times on various forums, but the best way to boot obnoxious Internet advertising from your life is to install and use the Firefox browser, make sure pop-up blocking is active and install the Adblock Plus add-on to Firefox. That combination really does make the Internet fun again!

For my basic security I use AVG Anti-Virus (free), Kerio Personal Firewall (free) and AVG Anti-Spyware (free). Hmmm, what do those have in common, besides not being resource hogs like the paid products from McAfee and (especially) Symantec/Norton. And, yeah, I use OpenOffice.org as a FREE replacement for Microsoft Office.

Here's a great place to get started when you're looking for free software, especially the computer security stuff: Freeware Utilities

I do that and use the NoScript add-on and McAfee SiteAdvisor.

Doubtless, I'd have a belt and suspenders if I wore clothes.
