Posting under construction - this message will be removed when it has been deemed Finished!

A caveat - There are four phases a project or group goes through from the start to something that becomes a norm. Those phases are:
Forming
Storming
Norming
Performing

Somedays I seem to have problems forming (and articulating) ideas in my head.
Then the storms start - too many thoughts and distractions get in the way - what was I trying to say?
Oh - I'm supposed to be normal. Riiiight.
Then there is the expectation of Performing. I won't go there.

Sorry - a little distraction got in the way. What was I trying to do? Oh, image guidelines, right?

Where are we? (Jeff - Am I wandering around in your empty headspace again?)

I'm working up some general guidelines and a touch of code to provide contributors some assistance when they have a large number of images to post in single topics. I don't know how beneficial this will be, nor whether it will even work. But hey - I'm willing to try!

I'll get this thing pulled together off-line and then will replace then content with the guide.

(Edit) I think this is becoming more work than I originally thought it would.... So I've edited the Subject line to reflect the current state of the project.

You got that right. Wow, another new med this week and most of the day I felt "under the influence".

Good thing I'm just doing RNA extractions or I might be in trouble...

Maybe I'm the last person on Earth with dial-up, but that's all I can get here in my berry patch. As such, I just have to give up on posts with mega-images. After 20 seconds or so, I hit the stop button and just read the text.

From a thumbnail or other smallish picture, I can almost always tell if I want to see more of it. To get a whole Gallery post, I have to be in a place where I am ready to do a chore, then come back and view the pics. It's OK; I generally have chores that need doing.
.
If life were supposed to be tough, why would there be hot springs?

I used to use those sound powered phones - I was the fantail to bridge phone talker on a FastFrigate - the USS Stein - FF1065. I also stood fog watches on the bow... Complete with those phones affixed to my noggin. The ship was decommissioned a few years ago and was sold to the Mexican Navy. It's now know as the Ignacio.

Wow. Funny how one word (Ok - three words) can spawn a ton of memories.

I realize its off topic but you got me started Bruce. I served on the USS Vreeland (DE-1068). Yes, that's 19 year old Operations Specialist Sturmer being irreverent as usual flashing the "high" sign.

Bunch of long haired hippy freaks.... the lot of us!
If that officer in the middle was an enlisted man and was about 30 lbs lighter, I'd say that looks an awful lot like me!

I think it's time to moderate this topic and move it to Free-For-All!

I was on USS Duncan, DDR 874, which was homeported in Japan. That was where I caught this terrible bug which makes me want to get in natural hot water every chance I can. (There I got back on subject)

Pretty much all know hot springs and cold springs have been commericalized and improved upon since Japan colonization period, from 1896 to 1945. So there's little or no knon natural hot springs left in Taiwan----you can drive up to all the known hot springs, get charge for parking, or just take a local bus. You get charge at the gate, a very modest fee in most cases, to get into the hot springs or bath houses. The main money is made at restaurants right at the hot springs.

There's also resorts built at some of the bettern known hot springs, of course means big money to soak and stay there.

Think of Taiwan hot springs pretty much like Japan already, all mapped out, all have paved roads leading to them, and no chance for free camping at the spot(all the level grounds been used by the restaurants). It's like all the Nevada and California's known hot springs put together, and put them on an island 1/10th in size of California.

Skip might be very happy to get a chance soaking in Taiwan, since he could have able to try 10 different hot springs a day without driving too much......

Thanks Bryan for the information about Taiwanese hot springs. Are you familiar with the Japanese hot spring website I posted under the "Japan and Far East" category?

Yes. But since I never been to Japan myself, I can only read about Japanese hot springs on magazines and on Internet.

Taiwan's hot springs protocol is pretty much like Japan's, men and women have their own hot springs bath houses that are also no need of cloth---it's considered as bath house. There's also "public" bath house that allows everyone to be in them, but everyone has to be clothed, ie swimsuit/bathing suite or underwear. There's no line separate men and women in the public/general bath house, and under age kids are allow to go cloth optional if they want. But besides the big bath houes, the little/small bath houses/tubs are more common. Or if you're staying in a local hot springs resort/hotel/motel, they would have the hot springs water come into your room for your own private soaking pleasure.
