Can we break that into just Japan itself, and all other countries/threads there move into All Other Places. 2 reasons. Far East itself is a hard to define term, ie. most of the countries there also fall into SE Asia. Second, those countries were suffered greatly under Japanese occupation during WW2,...

Well, we might see another wave of refugees from soak.net, since it looks like DOA. Call them the second wave settlers? We the first wave here don't need green cards to settle here, but the second waves people might need a bit more of screening, ie there's a chance some of them might be spammers too...

If each of the springs you visited already have a thread in each of the state/region, you might just want to add a post with the link to the big trip report/posts. This way, everyone can read it via different methods, ie cover all possible area in question. I also would think the big travel report, ...

Yes. But since I never been to Japan myself, I can only read about Japanese hot springs on magazines and on Internet. Pretty much all know hot springs and cold springs have been commericalized and improved upon since Japan colonization period, from 1896 to 1945.
