Winter hotspring accessible with a Mazda 3?

Winter hotspring accessible with a Mazda 3?

Hi all:

Merry Christmas and all the best of 2010 and beyond!

This coming week we would like to visit a hotsprings site as close to natural as possible but also accessible by a Mazda 3. Yes we are new to hot spring pleasure seeking. We are looking either around BC or the top half of Washington state.

So far the best we can find is Skookumchuk (St. Agnes Well) that appears to be accessible in winter.

Can any of you offer advice or suggestions. It's all appreciated!

Thank you

I've never been on that road in the winter but I wouldn't consider it without a serious 4x4 offroad vehicle. I would think there would be a fair amount of snow on the road but I could be wrong.

It is very very icy. Scary at times even with 4x4. There are no clearance issues, however. But chains and/or studded tires would be recommended. Hope this helps!

I was just up that way. Road is very icey and some deep potholes. I did see several cars attempting the road. Good tires and/or chains recommended for a car. See pictures I posted... Some road pictures.
